The Muktiva Standard v1.0

The women-first verification standard behind every Muktiva Verified badge. It has 15 areas: 7 Critical, 6 Required, and 2 Preferred. A Critical failure blocks or pauses verified status until it is fixed.

A	Identity and operation	Critical	Property and responsible operator identity verified. Required local operating documents captured and validated.
B	Guest room lock	Critical	Working primary lock plus an internal privacy control where the design permits. Defects block the room or property.
C	Unauthorized room entry	Critical	Documented staff-entry protocol. No non-emergency entry into an occupied room without notice or authorization.
D	CCTV privacy	Critical	No camera in bedrooms, bathrooms, changing or private sleeping areas. Every common-area camera disclosed to guests.
E	Fire and emergency exits	Critical	Current fire-safety evidence where applicable, accessible exits, and an emergency procedure visible to guests.
F	Guest identity handling	Required	All overnight occupants follow lawful registration with privacy controls. No unnecessary sharing of ID documents.
G	Room-number confidentiality	Required	Staff do not announce or disclose a guest's room number to outsiders or unverified callers.
H	Staff conduct	Critical	Zero tolerance for sexual harassment, coercion, threats, retaliation, or moral policing.
I	Emergency contacts	Required	A 24-hour property escalation path, or clearly stated hours plus the platform emergency pathway.
J	Staff training	Required	Training in women's safety, privacy, incident escalation, child safeguarding, and emergency response.
K	Arrival lighting and access	Required	Verified entrance access and practical late-night arrival notes. Limitations stated as facts.
L	Fresh imagery	Required	A dated recent photo set, a refresh schedule, and re-verification after renovation or a management change.
M	Accessible help	Preferred	Female staff or contact availability, language support, and accessibility information.
N	Transport handoff	Preferred	Verified or traceable transport with driver and vehicle details where offered.
O	Complaint cooperation	Critical	Timely cooperation, evidence preservation, and no retaliation during a safety review.

What the badge does not mean. No place is “100% safe”. Muktiva Verified means a property met this standard on the date shown, by the method shown. We show limitations openly and re-check on a schedule.

Safety eligibility cannot be bought. Properties may pay commissions or inspection costs, but payment never guarantees a pass.
